Privacy Policy

QnH ("QnH," "we," "us," or "our") is a free tool that helps you look up sourced answers about Islam from the Quran, Sahih Hadith collections, and Tafseer. This page explains what information QnH collects when you use the app, why, and the choices you have. It applies wherever QnH is available, including on Google Play. 1. Information We Collect
Questions you ask. When you type a question into QnH, the text is sent to our servers to generate an answer. We keep a log of the questions people ask so we can review them and improve the quality of QnH's answers over time. Please don't include personal details (like your full name, address, or phone number) in a question — QnH doesn't need them to answer you, and there's no need for us to keep them.
Messages you send us. If you email contact@qnh.app, we receive your email address and whatever else you choose to write.
Usage analytics. We use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand how QnH is used overall — for example, how often the app is opened and whether the "Install App" button is used. See "Third-Party Services" below.
Standard technical logs. Like most online services, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical details (such as IP address, browser or device type, and access times) for security and reliability purposes.
What we don't ask for. QnH doesn't require an account or sign-in, and we never ask for your name, date of birth, or contact details just to use the app.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Generate and return an answer to your question
- Review logged questions to catch mistakes and improve answer quality
- Understand overall usage of QnH so we can improve it
- Respond if you contact us directly
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
3. Third-Party Services
Firebase Analytics (Google). Analytics data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Donations. If you choose to support QnH, you're taken to Ko-fi (for international donations) or to a UPI app of your choice, such as GPay, PhonePe, or Paytm (for donations from India). These are independent services with their own privacy policies. QnH never sees or stores your card, bank, or UPI details — that transaction happens entirely within their platform, not ours.
4. Data Retention
We keep logged questions only for as long as we need them to review and improve answer quality. You can ask us to delete a specific entry — email contact@qnh.app with enough detail (roughly when you asked it, and its wording) for us to find it.
5. Children's Privacy
QnH is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact contact@qnh.app and we will delete it.
6. Your Choices
- Ask what we have. Email us to ask whether we have any logged question connected to you.
- Ask us to delete it. Same address — we'll remove it from our logs wherever we can locate it.
- Limit analytics. Your device or browser's privacy settings can restrict analytics identifiers; QnH works the same either way.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information QnH handles, including transmitting data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as QnH changes — for example, if we add new features. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and note any significant changes here or in the app.
